What to do

The Manzanillo area has an abundance of rich cultural history and endless outdoor activities.

Cultural Adventure: There are exotic plantations (banana, mango, papayas, coconut), protected bird islands, local bazaars with arts and crafts, silver and textiles. Visit the ancient tombs and caves in nearby Colima, the twin volcanoes or the renowned artisan town of Tonala.

Golf: There are 4 nearby golf courses. The El Tamarindo and the Grand Bay at Isle Navidad are world class. Grand Bay is a 27 hole Golden Club Golf Course. The La Mantarraya at the Las Hadas Resort is a beautiful 18 hole course and Club Santiago offers a nine hole course. In preparation for your golf rounds or just for fun, La Punta has a manicured putting green and practice balls are provided for our guests.

Tennis: La Punta has 4 private hard courts that have lighting for evening play. Also La Punta guests are welcome to use the Las Hadas Resort tennis courts. Racquets and tennis balls are available at the house.

Beaches: La Punta has its own private beach, with a pool, gym, BBQ facilities, palapas and a Beach Club. There is a floating pontoon for sunbathers, great snorkeling, and kayaks available to rent. Other nearby beaches include Playa de Audiencia, La Boquita and Salagua which offer boat trips, paddleboards, kayaks, surfboard and other water fun rentals. Miramar and Olas Altas are the best waves for those looking for a surfing beach.

Fishing: Manzanillo is world famous for sail fishing, with international tournaments held every year in November and February. You can charter a boat shared or private.

Manzanillo offers SCUBA, snorkeling, kayaking, sea-dooing, boating, sailing, hiking, road and mountain biking, horseback riding and has numerous water parks.
